Since our beginnings back in 2005, Ocean Coats has been dedicated to the development of our team in all aspects of our business so that we can deliver levels of quality and service that are second to none. It is with great excitement that we can announce we will shortly be working alongside UKSA to train their cohorts of Super Yacht Cadets in aspects of deck maintenance that will prove invaluable to them while applying for jobs and preparing themselves for a life at sea.
What will we cover?
During the five-day course using the workshop facilities at UKSA, we will introduce the candidates to a variety of new skills that will make them more employable in the super yacht community as well as give them an introduction to what work is needed to get a ship out to sea.
These include:
- Painting. Varnishing, and Antifouling
- Job preparation and tool management
- Surface preparation
- Polishing a variety of surfaces
- RIB maintenance
